BRUNCH AT DALLOWAY TERRACE
Dalloway Terrace you pretty thing you! This gorgeous restaurant at the Bloomsbury Hotel may or may not come as a surprise to you. I mean, it’s been snapped and posted on Instagram more times than I can count over the festive season.
Out and about during December, we popped in for a nosey one Sunday afternoon and vowed to come back for brunch. Booking in the week before Christmas, we arrived at Dalloway Terrace on a Sunday morning, and were ushered to our seats where we sat and admired what was literally a Winter Wonderland.
The restaurant was fairly quiet, which was perfect, as I’d feared it might be crazy busy and loud. Our thoughts swiftly turned to food and after a quick discussion and some double checking with the head chef, my gluten free prayers were answered and we ordered both French Toast with Bacon and Eggs Royale.
Sipping on coffees, and yes they were good coffees – a highly important first world problem for the both of us – I took the opportunity to snap like a gazillion photos for your viewing pleasure, so yah, you’re welcome ;o)
Our food arrived in really good time, even with the warning that the French Toast may take longer, due to a separate batch needing to be made for gluten free me. Both the French Toast and the Eggs Royale were seriously delicious, I wasn’t really sure what to expect, and everything exceeded my expectations. You know you’ve had a great meal when you’re already plotting your return before you’ve finished your last bite.
We ordered a hot chocolate and sat outside on the terrace, keeping warm under blankets, and if you’re really cold you can request hot water bottles too!
If you’re looking for a beautiful setting in central London, whether it be for breakfast, lunch, dinner or cocktails, Dalloway Terrace will not disappoint. Get there quick whilst it still looks like you’ve stepped into Narnia.
