So let me explain Cheat Day first. Six days of the week The Boy Next Door and I eat a very clean, very healthful diet. If you’re going to be judgmental, now is the time to do it, so we can move on to the good stuff – *Weirdo’s *How Boring *Get a Life (all judgements that have been passed before, so go ahead and pick one, we can handle it).
Day Seven is when we eat guilt free. We spend Day One thru Six discussing this 24 hours of calorie annihilation. WHERE we are going to eat, WHAT we are going to eat and HOW much food we are going to inhale. It’s important we get this right, otherwise we have to wait a whole week to give it another try! So let the CHEAT DAY report begin…
WHERE: Meat Liquor and Gelupo
WHAT: Meat Liquor – Dead Hippie Burgers, Cheese Fries and Bingo Wings
Gelupo – Burnt Sugar, Ricotta & Sour Cherry, Chocolate & Pepper Gelato
VERDICT: Meat Liquor – The Dead Hippie Burger was killer good. Juicy, meaty, cheesy, I feel hungry just thinking about it. The Cheese Fries were too cheesy for our taste, more of a slab than a sprinkle of cheese on top of your fries. I would recommend good ol’ regular fries to accompany your burger. The Bingo Wings are something I wouldn’t usually order myself but TBND had a twinkle in his eye when he saw them on the menu, and along with the blue cheese dip that comes with the wings, they were so delicious!
WOULD WE GO BACK AGAIN? Uh Yeah! Totally.
Gelupo – Being my favourite ice cream store in London, they never disappoint. Ricotta & Sour Cherry is my go-to flavour every time, it’s too good. Burnt Sugar was as the name says and had a subtle caramelised burnt flavour, not bad! Chocolate Pepper was our attempt at being hip, cool and crazy and our risk paid off, the flavour combo is unbelievably tasty.
WOULD WE GO BACK AGAIN? Stupid Question.
One Burger, Cheese Fries,
Bingo Wings and a Gelato
