Ladies! I need to tell you about a new nail polish brand I discovered at Bloggers Fashion Week!
The brand is called Little Ondine, and I haven’t been this excited about nail varnish since 1986. No, seriously.
When I was around 8 years old, I owned just two bottles of nail polish. One was my mothers, a bright red paint. The other was one that I think I received as a birthday gift. It was fluorescent yellow, and you could paint it on, let it dry, and then peel it off. No nail varnish remover required.
I can’t tell you just how much I adored that bottle of polish. Not only did I paint my own digits’s fluoro yellow, I would also paint my dog’s nails. Yep. I was waaaaaay ahead of my time, and could have made millions, if only I’d thought about the idea of a Pet Spa way back then. We would have matching nails, and we both looked super snazzy, let me just put that out there! And the best part? I could just peel it off when I got bored, or if I decided it was time for Amber (my dog) to change up her polish to a bright red. Which I actually remember doing once, and my mum taking Amber to the vet, the vet saying ‘Oh it looks like she’s bleeding’ and my mum having to say ‘No, she’s not. My daughter painted her nails’. Ha!
I’m not sure where the fluoro polish is these days, though there’s every chance it’s floating around in a drawer at my parents house. So it was with extreme excitement that when I attended Bloggers Fashion Week, I discovered Little Ondine. Makers of PAINT ON, PEEL OFF NAIL POLISH!
You see the thing is, I absolutely suck when it comes to painting my own nails. I am sooo much of a leftie that trying to hold the varnish brush in my right hand and paint with it turns out worse than a 3 year old in art class. It’s just not happening. And if I go for a regular manicure, I’m that girl that smudges it before I’ve left the salon, and chipped my first nail within hours.
But now I’m saved by Little Ondine, with their huge array of colours that I can paint on, and then peel off as often as I wish! Their polishes are odour free, quick drying and use only natural colours so they’re safe for kids and pets to use. I had to mention pets, just in case you want to give it a go, now that I mentioned how good my dog looked in a yellow varnish!
I can’t wait to stock up on these for myself and for Christmas gifts too. If you suck like me when it comes to painting your own nails, Little Ondine is going to become your nail varnish hero.
