Happy Friday everyone! It’s about this time of the day (11am) on a Friday, that I turn my attention to the weekend, and plan exactly where and what I want to eat on Saturday and Sunday. Yes, I live for good food. And if you’re anything like me, and starting to think about where you might want to brunch this coming weekend, then listen up because I’ve got a suggestion and it’s really, really good!
Pachamama, located on Thayer Street in Marylebone, is exactly where you need to eat this weekend. The reason? Waffles. Yup. Huge, delicious waffles with amazing toppings. I brunched here a couple of weekends ago with a couple of friends, and I’m already trying to work out when I can return, so I can try more from Pachamama’s menu.
The a-maz-ing thing about Pachamama’s waffles is that they’re gluten free. Now I know this usually means ‘ew it will taste dry’ to you gluten eating lot (and us gluten free lot too actually!), but NO, that is where you are so wrong. They are absolutely freaking delicious.
I ordered the sweet potato waffle topped with smoked bacon, free-range fried egg, and yacon syrup (Yacon?! you might be asking, think sweet plant-based alternative to maple). The whole thing was perfect, and my gluten eating friends didn’t seem to have any issues that they were eating a gluten free meal. Note: Arrive hungry, these Pachamama waffles are super filling!
Have a lovely weekend everyone, wrap up warm, Autumn is well and truly here! x
