With my trip to New Zealand approaching fast, I was desperate to fit in everything that London has to offer over the festive period.
Markets, Winter Wonderland, Christmas window displays, mulled wine, I was doing, seeing and drinking it all before my departure!
Soho Hotel were showing Home Alone in their private cinema room one Saturday afternoon and that movie screams Christmas, so tickets were booked and I made my way to Soho with my friend Cath, ready for an afternoon of Macaulay & Popcorn.
You couldn’t wish for comfier seats in a cinema!
Popcorn on offer.
We settled back into our seats and let Mr Culkin do the entertaining.
It was beginning to look and feel a lot like Christmas.
Particularly in Covent Garden where the big Christmas tree took pride of place in the piazza. It was selfie central there.
On the other side of the piazza stood Rudolph in all his shining glory.
A stroll down Monmouth Street, with its Christmas lights and delicious smell of Monmouth Coffee.
We then stumbled across a Baileys promo tent, and spotted a photo booth inside, so we were in there quick as lightning.
Props chosen, we jumped in front of the camera and flashed our biggest smiles.
A little editing on the photo booth machine.
The night was still young and we decided a walk over to the Southbank in the crisp evening air was a good idea.
Full of tourists, families, and even kids shooting a music video, everyone was out braving the cold and making the most of their Saturday night.
If nothing else, the walk in the cool winter air was worth it for this view alone.
The Southbank currently has their Winter Fesitval on, with Christmas markets, rides and mulled wine. We weaved our way through the crowds, until our tummies told us it was time for dinner.
Another Christmas to-do ticked off the list! Next up: Winter Wonderland.
