Cowshed Pedicure

Shoreditch House

I’m not a regular beauty spa type of girl, not because I don’t love it, because trust me I do!  It’s just that I always find there are so many other things that money needs to be spent on, so a pedicure seems to get put on the bottom of the list.  And with the lack of summer existing in UK, wearing flip flops has been few and far between, so I’ve been able to hide my feet inside the safety of my Superga’s!

But if there’s one thing I do prioritise, it’s doing something special for my birthday.  Making it memorable and fun, so I can look back fondly in years to come and remember all the amazing ways I celebrated.

Cowshed Spa

August 26th was approaching, so I booked in at The Cowshed Spa at Shoreditch House for the Ultimate Cowshed Pedicure, which is 75 minutes of utter bliss.  I’d had a pedicure here before, and I knew I was in for an absolute treat!

I arrived at Shoreditch House and checked in with the Cowshed Spa reception, then made my way to the cosiest of chairs, to sit down and indulge in 75 mins of heaven.

Your nails are filed, your cuticles are tidied and hardened skin (ew!) is removed with this little machine that reminds me of what a hygienist uses to clean to your teeth.  It also tickles A LOT, so if you’re anything like me, and super ticklish, you’ll find this part tough!

My beauty therapist was fab, she chatted when I wanted to chat (which lets face it, is always), and worked in silence when I wanted to shut my eyes and relax.

And just when I thought it was impossible to feel any more relaxed than I already was, I then went to a whole other level of bliss from the leg and foot massage.  It was so good! Your feet are then wrapped in a hydration mask so they’ll end up as soft as a baby’s bum.

My beauty therapist then gave me a great head and shoulder massage, and it was around that stage I could have happily fallen asleep in my comfy chair and declared my birthday a success.

I chose American Hot polish for my toes, because red is ALWAYS my fav!

My pedicure came to a finish and I literally had Happy Feet.  They looked so lovely, it was just a shame it was raining and grey outside and I had to hide my Cowshed Spa pedicure inside a pair of shoes.  I highly recommend a visit to Cowshed, save up your pennies if you need to and take yourself there for a special occasion, you will not regret it, and your feet will certainly thank you.

    • OMG Cate, we need to change this! They are pricey, but I look at it this way: put away £10 per month in a little envelope, and at the end of the year, or on your birthday treat yourself! (I’ll come too!!)
